River + Fir

A different perspective

The past four weeks have been an exercise in learning. There is a constant ebb and flow of what I cannot control versus what few things I can. A shifting perspective I hadn’t anticipated. A general feeling of gratitude in the face of (sometimes only perceived) adversity and challenge. Frustrations abound. Exhaustion eminent. Thankful, oh, so thankful.

This one time, at Grandma’s house, I sat in a chair I don’t normally sit in. The river was awe-inspiring. Sometimes I forget how powerful that water is, even in it’s perceived calm.
